Raja Hindustani is a bollywood film directed by Dharmesh Darshan and released in1996. It is a tale of cab driver from a small town who falls in love with a rich girl. Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor play the lead roles. Aishwarya Rai was offered the lead role and was tempted to take it, but she wasn't looking into an acting career at the time and was busy with her studies. :)
